This is my first wallpaper to be added to this portfolio. I wanted a change of my desktop background but couldn’t find an ideal wallpaper that I really liked, so I made one by myself instead. Then I happened to stumble upon Night Fate Stock’s deviantart with those awesome stock images, so this wallpaper was made pretty quickly. I named it after the model, West. It’s dark because I like dark colours, and it’s easy on the eyes. And oh, I so love the font!

Font used is Walkway. Image from Night Fate Stock. Model is Lynn West. Brushes used are from Vectorpack.net and aethereality.net.

When I woke up and checked my mail, I received an email from Vectorpack.net telling me that I was a giveaway winner with my desired brushes attached. I was sooooo happy! The brushes are: Splash, scrolls, spray and wings! I had a choice and I chose them all. Hey but honestly, I cannot remember where the giveaway was held at, or I would have express my ultimate gratefulness! Well, anyway still feeling real happy ~ would help in my exam today.

Ever since I won the Web Studio Theme from ThemeFuse, I have been eagerly reading up on photoshop tutorials and frequently browse through the portfolio of other known designers online. I intend to make this portfolio last very long, because I really love this wordpress theme. I won it from a giveaway, and I feel so fortunate and grateful for it. The news section looks a little weird though, because the fonts are really small, but I don’t think anyone will bother to read what I have to write on my portfolio so I guess it’s okay. There’s no area for comments as well, so I won’t know anyway! Heh.

Vision

I wanted something grungy, but elegant at the same time. I wanted an awesome texture as a background, with something of a bright colour at the front. I randomly browsed some photos and decided to get a butterfly image, an image of an eye and some vector feathers.

Prince

Random scribbling with a WACOM Bamboo Tablet Pen, then added flat colours to the image. It turned out to look closely similar to a Prince figure, so I touched up a bit and titled this art piece as “Prince”. He is NOT lacking a fan – just in case you voice your concern.

Heels

Just some random coloring with my WACOM Bamboo tablet. It was supposed to have this really nice blending effect for the colour, but this isn’t a professional workpiece so I didn’t spend too much time on it. Plus, this heel was just from my imagination, with no reference from photos or whatever.

I wanted to brush up on my blending skills on colours, and the result was this. I’m not please at the wings, it could’ve been better, but I like the bottom part of the body, because I spend lots of time on it and succeeded in blending the colour well.

Footsteps

This was made using Abuzeedo’s tutorial, it didn’t turn out as well, so I applied some texture and and some effects on it to make it look like a piece from a very old scrapbook kept by a grandmother. I named it footsteps because the name just came to me when I saw this lady’s picture.
