First tutorial on Ceandra Designs would be on how to fold an origami piano. Or some would call it a dressing table… I don’t know. It was posted before but I need to re-post it again since everything was lost when I wanted to start anew. You can find helping videos on YouTube as well, because this tutorial is an old, basic, and extremely simple one that probably everyone learnt in Primary School art lessons.

I’ll be using my favorite Japanese Washi Origami Paper for this pretty piano I’ll be making. Remember, you can always contact me if you’ve any questions, or just comment below.

Step 1:

Simple Origami Piano Step 1

Grab a piece of origami paper that you’d like for your piano. Many people would prefer using Black for realistic look but any color would be just fine.

Step 2:

Simple Origami Piano Step 2

Fold it into half.

Step 3:

Simple Origami Piano Step 3

Fold it in half again. You should get a square now. You would want the folded lines to be seen for the next step.

Step 4:

Simple Origami Piano Step 4

Unfold the square back to Step 2. Start from the left. Follow the fold lines and flatten down until you get a “house”. Do the same for the right. So you get two “houses” facing you.

Step 5:

Simple Origami Piano Step 5

Look towards the middle. Where the two houses meet, you will be able to fold them up. Fold up until you meet the colored area/line as you see in the picture.

Step 6:

Simple Origami Piano Step 6

Fold the top back down. Estimate properly. This will be the width of your piano.

Step 7:

Simple Origami Piano Step 7

Remember we used up the middle portion of the two “houses”? Now it’s time to fold the extreme left and right towards the middle. Fold them in like when you’re folding two flaps in. Make sure they meet.

Step 8:

Simple Origami Piano Step 8

Fold it out, and make it stand.
TADA! You get your piano :) Or would you like to call it a bench… or perhaps your dressing table :P
